Abi Drotsky from my side project, Up Since Dark
Sorry I've been gone, but I've spent a week working a night shift job at the emergency room of a local hospital, and lemme tell you guys, doing these
drawings was what kept me sane. Staying up all night was a breeze—thank you, Internet—but seeing so many people in pain just got to me. My first night on duty, I watched two young parents find out their 10-year-old son died of septic shock. I've been having nightmares ever since.
I had to quit. I couldn't take it.
God did not
give me the stomach for the medical field.
I did see a cool helicopter, though. So I guess there's that.
It's good to be back.
I sincerely hope all of you and your loved ones are in good health.
