General Valiard Mansion Dump - November 2013 by The-Ez General Valiard Mansion Dump - November 2013 by The-Ez
Hey guys.

I wish I had something poignant to say, but truth be told, it's just a gloomy, awful day, and most of my vocabulary's sort of left me. Who knows where South Africa would be today if it weren't for Nelson Mandela? He fought not only for racial equality, but for women's and children's rights as well. Like I read about the Victorian and Edwardian eras a lot, and I'm naturally shocked when I see how anything that isn't a white male used to be treated, but guys—that's exactly how it was here in South Africa not thirty years ago. We were in the Dark Ages, for real.

RIP Madiba. I literally owe you my dignity.

Anyways, sorry for being a little depressing today. I just felt I needed to say something. ^^;

Here are some Valiard Mansion doodles. I still need to really take a few hours to do a self-imposed drawing boot camp so I can work off the rust, but I'm mostly taking time off from everything except watching TV and playing video games. :aww: I'll catch up with you guys soon. ;)

Ah, yes, I wrote in one of my journals last year about Nelson Mandela. He was definitely an amazing person, you guys must have been so proud to have him lead your country. I'm ashamed that such racial discrimination went on in my country and across the world, but thanks to Madiba he straightened out the majority of the racial equality issues, which I'm glad about, since I know many people of varying ethnicities and they're all wonderful. I can barely believe I wouldn't be allowed to be friends with them in the last century! :no:

Oh, yeah, we're incredibly proud of the good work Madiba did! :D There's just this kind of eerie silence in South Africa right now... we're leaderless all of a sudden. :shrug: It's weird. And right before national elections, too. Not that I'm political or anything. :blush:

And yeah, it's nuts! I actually have very few white friends, come to think of it. ^^;

I'd much rather be classist than be racist, thank you. :iconlikeasirplz: :giggle: ;P

I heard they may be making a movie about Madiba's life. He was a great man, even if I already said this a thousand times :salute: I'm glad he didn't die in vain.

I must say, Gangfield looks very pleased with himself in the top right corner. Was he looking through her diary? :XD: That would be an interesting scenario for Valiard Mansion, I have to say.

Thank you for not calling Beast "Prince Adam". I hate it when people do that. :XD:

But no, these are my characters. I'm flattered they remind you of Disney. That's a huge compliment. Thank you!! :heart:
