I wish I had something poignant to say, but truth be told, it's just a gloomy, awful day, and most of my vocabulary's sort of left me. Who knows where South Africa would be today if it weren't for Nelson Mandela? He fought not only for racial equality, but for women's and children's rights as well. Like I read about the Victorian and Edwardian eras a lot, and I'm naturally shocked when I see how anything that isn't a white male used to be treated, but guys—that's exactly how it was here in South Africa not thirty years ago. We were in the Dark Ages, for real.
RIP Madiba. I literally owe you my dignity.
Anyways, sorry for being a little depressing today. I just felt I needed to say something.
Here are some Valiard Mansion
doodles. I still need to really take a few hours to do a self-imposed drawing boot camp so I can work off the rust, but I'm mostly taking time off from everything except watching TV and playing video games. I'll catch up with you guys soon.
