Mom Dearest - April 2015

EDIT: Decided to colour it for funsies.

So tonight I took a crack at designing Abi's mom. I always fancied naming her Sasha. I'd want her to either be a real estate agent or have her own the apartment building they live in, which would facilitate her meeting Gangfield — he'd be new in town and looking for a place to stay. And before they know it, they'd be dating! D'aawww!

A huge chunk of Up Since Dark will deal with Abi's difficult relationship with her divorcee mother. Much of the friction will come from the fact that Abi's father — who she absolutely idolizes — lives with his new family in a different state. So it's pretty obvious what role Gangfield will play in the story.

Disclaimer: I stole a few nuances from another character I designed for this project (link below) and just gave them to Sasha because they suit her way better. I'll happily redesign the other character later. So pleeeeeze don't comment to tell me the characters look the same. Because they DO look the same!
